Our team recently carried out the spring macroinvertebrate sampling campaign to monitor ecological responses following dam removal. These surveys are helping us assess how aquatic communities are recovering and how river connectivity restoration influences freshwater biodiversity.
By tracking changes in macroinvertebrate assemblages over time, we can better understand the ecological benefits of river restoration and support evidence-based management of freshwater ecosystems.
